Compassionate Home Health Care has announced that Rock The Dock Green Bay is still a go for 2020, but with a technological twist. “Our priority is our community and their health and safety. After speaking with the City of Green Bay and Brown County public health officials, our board had to make the difficult decision to cancel the event in the traditional sense. It would be a major challenge to try and adhere to social-distancing guidelines and recommendations” said Dawn Paradiso-Hansen, CEO of Compassionate Home Health Care. She added “We knew our only option was to go virtual, but we weren’t sure how until one of our members brought up the idea of virtual reality. So we now have Rock the Dock Green Bay 360VR.”.

Over the course of the next several weeks, local musicians will be recorded in 360° while performing original songs and content at various landmarks throughout the city of Green Bay. The performances will then be presented during the event on August 29th, 2020. The event will take place on dual platforms, utilizing a conjunction of Facebook and YouTube, and will include both the pre-recorded performances as well as live broadcasts from locations throughout the city of Green Bay during the online festival.

Providing the entertainment for the event will be local musical acts Polite Strangers, Speako Chords, Relics, Moonlight Bandits, Doozy, Mistrial, Memphis Star, and Shocker Band. They will be performing at venues throughout the city of Green Bay including The Automobile Gallery, the Neville Public Museum, Green Bay Botanical Garden, the National Railroad Museum, Stadium View Bar & Grill and more!

Unlike traditional video, recording in full 360° video allows viewers to see “behind the camera”, by giving them a full immersive, “I’m there” experience. Although best viewed on devices known as “VR Headsets”, the audience can view 360° videos on smartphones, tablets and computers, moving the devices or using “click-and-drag” for the 360° experience. “With health concerns and social-distancing, we believe people are still looking for a way to feel that connection, and we believe this is the best way to give them that experience instead of watch under the current conditions” said Dawn.

Fundraising will also be a bit non-traditional from the previous event, by holding an online contest. CHHC is inviting local nonprofits to join in contest submission sales, for which they will receive a portion (%) of the contest submission sale proceeds to benefit them. “Since we rely heavily upon donations and same-day sales from the festival, we had to think of a way that we can not only raise money for our own campaign, but how we could help support other nonprofits and small businesses in our community that are struggling,” said Paradiso-Hansen. Nonprofits are invited to contact CHHC at or via the contact information listed below. Welcoming to our event so far is a list not for profits and organizations who are joining the fundraising efforts so far: Woodward Radio Group (WAPL 105.7, KissFM 95.9, Razor94.7 / 104.7,KZ104.3, Escape Room -Green Bay, Dough Shoppe, The Sardine Can, CC’s Steaks & Cakes, Copper State, My Brothers Keeper, NABHRS, Transition House, Dynamic Family Solutions, The National Railroad Museum, The Sardine Can, Pure Romance by Tina, Interior Designs.

We are building this event as a way to bring the community together, support one and other and showcase the great city that is Green Bay and all of our local offerings” stated Paradiso-Hansen.

CHHC encourages people to follow the Rock the Dock Green Bay Facebook page ( and event page ( to keep up to date with the latest information and announcements.

In its debut year, Rock the Dock Green Bay brought an estimated 10,000+ visitors to CityDeck in Green Bay. The event supports Compassionate Home Health Care’s annual “Holiday Giving Campaign”, which distributes personal care/hygiene and cleaning supplies to our community members while additionally helping to support a variety of northeast Wisconsin nonprofits. Partnering for distribution with organizations such as ADRC, St Vincent de Paul, NAHBRS, Harbour House, local housing authorities, in-home health organizations and local schools, CHHC helps those who struggle to purchase these overlooked basic essentials, many times having to decide between basic necessities and food.

Next year’s event has been scheduled for August 28th, 2021. Planning has already begun, and for Rock the Dock Green Bay 2021, we hope to be able to blend the event to both live in-person and 360° live-stream for viewers across the globe.
